Description

  • IU Health University’s Medical Progressive Care Unit is an ICU stepdown unit that provides hands on care for complex medical patients with cystic fibrosis, sickle cell, acute/end stage live failure along with a multitude of other co-morbidities. Our nurses have an opportunity to make an immediate impact in our patient’s lives. There is always something new to learn and experience! As a nurse on MPCU, you will experience rare diagnoses and innovative treatment.

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
