Requirements

  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Graduate of a CNO-approved bachelor’s degree in nursing program, or equivalent combined education and experience
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Previous clinical experience working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Applicants in their final year or near completion will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient and family centered care to patients admitted to the Reactivation Care Centre
  • Complete physical assessments on patients
  • Administer medications and provide any necessary care including, but not exclusive to (wound care, IV management, and supporting patients post-acute care to transition home, etc.)
  • Attend nursing rounds and participate in patient/family meetings
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, pharmacists, social workers, clinical nurse specialists, etc.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
