What are the primary responsibilities of a Registered Practical Nurse in this position?
The primary responsibilities include preparing and administering medications and treatments as directed by a Physician, documenting concerns and complaints, promoting the client's self-care and wellness, completing assessments and care plans, and supporting unregulated care workers.
What qualifications are required to apply for this position?
Applicants must have a current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, a current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, a current Medication Administration Certificate, and a minimum of one year of experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation.
Is there a background check required for applicants?
Yes, all applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check and meet provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
Are there any preferred qualifications for this role?
Yes, bonus points will be given to applicants who have post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration.
