What are the working hours for this position?
This position is for permanent part-time evenings.
What qualifications are required for this role?
Candidates must have current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, and a Medication Administration Certificate.
How much experience is needed to apply?
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is required.
Is there a requirement for background checks?
Yes, all applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check and meet additional provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
Are there any additional qualifications that are considered an asset?
Yes, post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration are considered assets.

What kind of duties will I be responsible for?
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for preparing and administering medications, documenting complaints, promoting client self-care, completing assessments, supporting unregulated care workers, and performing other assigned duties.

Wages are per the collective agreement (CA).
