The Registered Practical Nurse plays a critical role within our communities, impacting the lives of residents through medication administration, care documentation, promoting self-care, completing assessments and care plans, and supporting unregulated care workers.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Applicants must have current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, a Medication Administration Certificate, and a minimum of one year of experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, or Rehabilitation.
Is experience in a specific field required?
Yes, a minimum of one year of experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is required.
Are there any screening requirements for applicants?
Yes, all applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check, meet provincial police check requirements, and undergo tuberculosis screening as applicable.
