Requirements

  • Basic Requirements:
  • Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 1 year experience desired at a broadcast/cable network, agency, media research supplier or digital media company; or other corporate experience grounded in strategic thinking and analysis
  • Proficient written and verbal communication in English
  • Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office applications including Excel (pivot tables and macros a plus) and PowerPoint
  • Desired Characteristics:
  • Prior experience within a broadcast/cable network, agency, media research supplier or digital media company strongly desired
  • Experience with Nielsen ratings software a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Facebook Insights or other digital measurement tools a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, Power BI, etc.
  • Proven experience in strategic thinking and analysis
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dead-line-driven environment
  • Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within an organization
  • Exhibits attention to detail and has effective time management skills
  • Demonstrated fast learner and proactive problem solver
  • Additional Requirements:
  • This position has been designated as a hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes data to identify market trends, program preferences & opportunities, audience flow, and other insights
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently juggles workload in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Maximizes the use of several tools that provide access to national and local ratings and demonstrates proficiency in understanding how to use these data sources for all assigned tasks
  • Monitors and reports on cross-platform user behavior of linear, digital, and social Telemundo content
  • Visualizes data making large and complex data sets more accessible, understandable, and usable
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Research Manager and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  • Periodically assist with editing and maintaining a database of daily programming schedules to ensure the accuracy of channel lineup information.
