Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Research Supervisor and under the technical guidance of the Research Assistant 2, conducts research projects using established protocols, processes and procedures.
  • Executes questionnaires, data collection and entry, planning and preparation of research documentation, and completes literature reviews as needed.
  • Collects, compiles and presents data in line with established short-, mid- and long-term impact indicators for research projects and activities. Participates in the development and performs specific editing and reviewing of documents and reports when needed.
  • Supports planning and implementation of Canadian Neurodevelopmental Research Training (CanNRT) program activities and opportunities, including but not limited to the Annual Summer School, Thematic retreat, Networking events, Forums, Scientific Conference, etc.
  • May provide technical guidance and training to research staff, including Undergraduate/Graduate Student Research Assistants and Technicians, in the execution of tasks related to research projects and activities.
  • Performs various administrative tasks related to the project and activities, e.g.:
  • Supports meeting organization and preparation of related documentation.
  • Collects, sorts and maintains all CanNRT documentation.
  • Executes basic word processing functions such as, document formatting, labeling, spellcheck, mail merge, drafting letters from template.
  • Provide support for the development of activities (e.g. event logistics, such as finding and booking a venue, caterer, audio visual, merchandise) and outreach materials.
  • Monitors and replies to CanNRT email or assigns email to the appropriate person on CanNRT team.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the CanNRT membership folder.
  • Participates in the development of CanNRT Training Passport guidelines and supports the preparation of the trainee’s expense reports.
  • Responsible for the quality and results of their own work.
