Responsibilities

  • Creating protocols and preparing materials for various studies such as the Expressive Writing Study and the Academic Stress Study
  • Participates in behavioural coding for infants and mothers participating in our Babies Study
  • Data proofing surveys of various studies - checking for errors and eliminating data from participants who failed the attention check
  • Assists with preparation of research grant applications to CIHR
  • Contacts and schedules participants for various studies
  • Maintains participant spreadsheets and contacts participants required to come in for follow-up visits
  • Answers all questions participants (and parents of participants) may have with regards to our research and the study they are participating in
  • Assign and oversee research activities of undergraduates in the lab. For example, if a participant does not show up for their scheduled appointment, the Research Assistant assigns them another task
  • Setting agenda for lab meetings
