Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will design, maintain, test, and repair laboratory instrumentation system components.
  • Conducts research projects in mining rock mechanics using the established procedure by McGill’s Mine Design Laboratory
  • Oversees the execution of laboratory experiments conducted by members of the research group to ensure compliance with ISRM and ASTM standards.
  • Suggests ideas for the improvement of rock characterization reporting methods.
  • Analyses and interprets rock test/numerical model output results.
