  • Possesses specialized knowledge of the field or discipline acquired through a Master’s Degree.

Responsibilities

  • (i.) Conducts research projects using established protocols, processes and procedures and with minimal or no supervision.
  • (ii.) Oversees and assists with the development and execution of experiments, questionnaires, the recruitment and training of interviewers, data collection, test administration, conducting interviews, planning and preparation of research documentation, laboratory work, and compilation of data.
  • (iii.) Recommends and implements improvements to existing methods of analysis or research.
  • (iv.) Analyzes and interprets research data and disseminates the results. Writes research reports.
  • (v.) May write theoretical or methodological reports, papers or articles related to research activities.
  • (vii.) Assists with the preparation of grant applications.
  • (viii.) Responsible for the quality and results of their own work.
  • (ix.) May provide technical guidance and training to research staff, including Research Assistants 1, Undergraduate/Graduate Student Research Assistants and Technicians, in the execution of tasks related to research projects.
  • (x.) Performs various administrative tasks related to the project.
  • (xi.) May also perform tasks of Research Assistant 1.
