Responsibilities

  • - Responsible for the direct supervision of (RT I) Respiratory Therapists and support staff (Clinical Leads-RT II) as assigned.
  • - Involves the coordination and organization of assigned human, equipment and material resources to ensure effective program delivery.
  • - Support quality innovation and the identification and resolution of issues that impact service to site, in consultation with the Respiratory Therapy Manager.
  • - First line contact for assigned staff to resolve problems related to staffing, patient care or other service concerns.
  • - Ensures that adequate staff are scheduled.
  • - Hiring, discipline and performance conversations are a responsibility of this position, in consultation with the Manager and Human Resources.
  • - Investigation of complaints, resolution of issues (both patient and staff), and follow up where required.
  • - May lead special projects as assigned by the Respiratory Therapy Manager.
