Responsibilities

  • Leads the National Risk & Compliance team and is responsible for the ongoing development of direct reports.
  • Supports the development, implementation, operation and monitoring of International Compliance systems, with a special focus on ensuring National business needs are met.
  • Supports the fulfilment of National Top Management’s duties in National Compliance matters in line with International Compliance governance.
  • Supports with the following National topics, including acting as a point of contact for the relevant regulators: UK - Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP)
  • Ireland – Agricultural & Food Supply Chain Unfair Trading Regulations (UTP)
  • Acts as a Risk & Compliance expert providing advice and support for various stakeholders across the business as necessary.
  • Coordinates the development and delivery of Compliance related training and guidance material.
  • Ensures the necessary safeguards are in place, including the monitoring and updating of risk and compliance policies.
  • Promotes and embeds effective and efficient risk and compliance management process as part of the way ALDI does business.
  • Oversees the management of the ALDI AlertLine whistleblowing platform.
  • Engages with a network of departmental Enterprise Risk Management business leads to support in business wide risk assessments.
  • Supports on the international development of Enterprise Risk Management, including the development and piloting of a new tool.
  • Supports the development, operation, updating and monitoring of the National Crisis Response Framework.
