A degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Criminology, Social Sciences, or a similar field is required, along with previous experience in assessing safeguarding risks.
Is there a requirement for a Working with Children’s Check?
While a Working with Children’s Check is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
Will the Safeguarding Consultant need to work flexible hours?
Yes, the role requires flexible hours, including periodic on-call duties for weekends and public holidays, weekend training, and regular travel throughout the division.

The Safeguarding Consultant will train Officers, Employees, and Volunteers in Safeguarding Development Modules across the Division, as well as provide expert safeguarding advice.

The Safeguarding Consultant will provide monthly reports to the EM Safeguarding Operations and Head of Q&S regarding the management and review of safeguarding cases, including recommendations.
