What are the primary responsibilities of a Sales Development Representative?
The primary responsibilities include collecting payments from accounts with outstanding balances, scheduling qualified demonstrations and meetings with sales teams, prospecting for new business through cold calling, identifying qualified prospects, conducting research using various tools, maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, and assisting with billing concerns.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this position?
You need strong time management, communication, and critical-thinking skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and in teams, experience in corporate retention and new business sales, experience in heavy cold calling, and at least 1-3 years of inside sales experience. A bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of college education with no back subjects is also required.
How many outbound and inbound calls are expected per day?
The expected volume is between 50 to 100 outbound and inbound calls per day.
What tools will I use for research on prospects?
You will use tools such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Google, Avvo, and Findlawyers.com for prospect research.
Are there any additional requirements for internal applicants?
Yes, internal applicants must have been in their current role for at least 1 year, must not have received any disciplinary action in the past 12 months, must not have attendance or punctuality issues, and should have a successful or above rating in the last Enabling Performance cycle.
Is training provided for this position?
Yes, you will undergo a training and development program to learn and apply the LexisNexis value proposition and business processes.
What kind of sales experience is preferred for this role?
Experience in inside sales, lead generation, and prospecting is preferred, with 1-3 years of inside sales experience being an advantage.
