  • Confident in the delivery of pre-planned lessons and interventions.
  • The ability to manage behaviour in-line with school policy.
  • Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, delivering lessons under the teacher's guidance, and helping students with their learning
  • Provide dedicated support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom environment
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, ensuring the well-being and engagement of students with SEN
  • Working with class teachers, other support staff and the senior leadership team to provide the best educational, emotional, and social support that you can
  • Be involved in assessing students' work and providing feedback
  • Assist with maintaining classroom discipline and supporting students with behavioural issues
  • Work with students with special educational needs and help them adapt to teaching methods and materials
