Responsibilities

  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting, annual budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Supporting external and internal audits, as well as sales tax, WCB, and custom duty audits.
  • Prepare working paper reconciliations and analyse General Ledger (GL) accounts.
  • Managing multi-currency exchange rates and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in financial reports.
  • Performing inventory adjustments and physical count postings.
  • Reconciling intercompany accounts and preparing weekly bank reconciliations and cash forecasts.
  • Maintaining fixed asset schedules, monthly depreciation, prepaid schedules, and journal entries.
  • Administering duty deferral and duty drawback processes.
  • Overseeing GST/HST, PST, and WCB payments and annual filings.
  • Providing support to A/R, A/P, payroll, and other ad-hoc accounting activities as needed.
