  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels, including spouses, to handle confidential information while being sensitive to personal situations.
  • Excellent analytical skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills with thorough attention to detail; must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency independently and collaboratively in a team-focused and environment.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and deliver U.S. & Canadian benefits processes and procedures.
  • Assist with the administration of the monthly billing, including preparing invoices, auditing, and maintenance of benefit cost tracking.
  • Manage the relationships with our Health and Welfare carriers.
  • Respond to complex benefits questions and correspond with vendors to resolve confidential employee issues.
  • Review and approve benefit elections in benefits system.
  • Perform system maintenance, data updates, and reporting in HR/Benefits system.
  • Maintain content on Benefits intranet page working with IT to update as needed.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of the US & Canadian benefit programs including group medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance among others.
  • Assist with the coordination of annual Open Enrollment including benefits system set up, communications, data audits, and data feeds to vendors.
  • Ensure policies and procedures follow ACA, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other regulations that impact benefits.
  • Provide training to support benefit program awareness and skills for People team members, employees, and decision makers.
