Responsibilities

  • Research & Evaluation of cloud technologies:
  • This includes cloud platforms, edge development tools and platforms.
  • Makes build vs. buy/acquire recommendations for software cloud technologies.
  • Scalability & production evaluation of internal and external solutions.
  • Implementation and integration of selected projects with our cloud platform:
  • For both externally acquired and internally developed technologies.
  • Provides implementation and guidance for internally developed projects.
  • Develops frameworks and interface layers to tie the cloud software stack together.
  • Architecture and design guidance:
  • Realise the overall architecture efforts for the production cloud software stack.
  • Enable PaaS and SaaS options and go-to-market approaches for the completed solution.
  • Report on state-of-the-market for cloud solutions in general and use that information to inform the cloud solution architecture.
  • The work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical skills in many areas. A willingness to take risks with new ideas and generally tinker/experiment with software (and hardware) is a must. We are a team of generalists who understand the big picture but are very detail oriented when necessary and understand how to lead and be led by each other every day.
