What kind of technical support will I be providing in this role?
You will provide advanced technical support to Scientific and Technical staff across the North West Genomic Laboratory Hub, resolving issues related to PCs, instruments, printers, and specialist software and databases.
What experience is required for this position?
Experience in a customer-facing IT infrastructure support role is required, including first-, second-, and third-line support with the PC client environment.
What qualifications do I need to apply?
A degree or equivalent relevant experience is required to apply for this position.
Will I need to work out of hours?
Yes, you should be prepared to work flexibly, including some out-of-hours shifts.
What kind of IT systems will I be expected to support?
You will support various systems including Windows 10, Linux, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), as well as managing peripherals and specialized software.
