Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience working for fast-growing, global companies, 4 years experience in Workday configuration and support for HR/People teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Workday business process configuration, security, and organization configuration
  • Experience in Workday HCM, Benefits, and Core HCM modules in U.S. and International locations
  • Experience writing and completing test scenarios for system implementations and enhancements
  • Experience leading Open Enrollment project planning, requirements gathering, testing, and launch
  • Strong understanding of Leaves and Payroll processes
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, HR processes, and compliance
  • Experience documenting and analyzing requirements. Ability to adjust and realign requirements with stakeholders to create the most optimal solution
  • Partner with developers in Workday Studio and Integrations, able to analyze benefits processes and troubleshoot integrations to benefit vendors
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and prioritization
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deliver enhancements or fixes on time without supervision. Provide accurate timelines, follow-up, and required documentation for change management
  • An ideal candidate also has:
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance a plus
  • Knowledge of employment compliance and legal best practices
  • Experience working with Jira, Zendesk, and other business applications integrating to Workday

Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist Workday configuration for standard setup annually for Global Benefit setup and enrollment, Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, and other modules as needed
  • Build and modify custom reports for standard optimization
  • Triage and configure Workday enhancements or fixes for HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Timecards, Absence/Leaves, Payroll, and reporting
  • Build and maintain organizational hierarchies, custom objects, and custom security roles
  • Partner with People Operations teams to solidify and document business requirements related to programs to be executed through Workday and other technologies
  • Scope and prioritize incoming technology fixes and enhancements
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
