Responsibilities

  • - Works at the expert/journey level performing the most difficult and complex personnel/payroll transactions
  • - Must possess a high degree of independence and problem-solving ability
  • - Ability to think logically, multitask, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and bargaining unit contract provisions concerning personnel transactions
  • - Must have knowledge of California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), State Personnel Board (SPB) and California Department of Human Resource (CalHR) laws, rules and policies
  • - Duties may include working in a team environment as coordinator for a variety of statewide personnel/payroll programs related to Worker's Compensation, State Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave, Non-Industrial Disability Insurance
  • - Manage accounts receivables
  • - Manage requests for lump sum deferral relating to these programs
