What educational background is required for this role?
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate degree in a related field is preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills. Military Service/Training in lieu of a degree may also be considered.
What experience is preferred for this role?
2 years of related experience within a laboratory setting is helpful. Experience working in customer service is also advantageous.
What skills are necessary for this role?
Strong verbal and written communication skills, desire to deliver excellent customer service, ability to collaborate with various levels of personnel, computer proficiency, intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite, and organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines are essential for this role.
What physical requirements should I be aware of for this job?
The role primarily works at customer sites where chemical-based allergens may be in use. Personal protective equipment may be required, and the ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently is necessary. Standing or walking for prolonged periods and the ability to work overtime may also be required.
What tasks will I be responsible for in this role?
Responsibilities include inventory/order management, on-site program replenishments, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing. Additionally, analyzing/maintaining/reconciling reports to ensure contractual requirements are met and addressing customer concerns in a timely manner.
