Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations assigned to the ducting team (on assigned project-sites) to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
  • Read specifications, work lists and plan for execution of awarded projects.
  • Develop, interpret and follow method statements / procedures in addition to understanding specifications, drawings and relevant project and engineering documentation.
  • Co-ordinate the progress of work with SRM/PM, superintendent and other trades within his own department.
  • Liaise with Invoicers / estimators to ensure that department’s estimates and commercial targets are synchronized and met.
  • Develop detailed completion program with manpower loading.
  • Participate in accident investigation, root cause analysis and provide assistance in preparing necessary reports.
  • Review vessel repair plan, build strategies in order to formalize the optimum utilization of yard equipment and resources.
  • Provide personnel appraisal and training requirement, motivate, and develop subordinate s.
  • Organize inspections and surveys smoothly in coordination with other sections / trades.
  • Provide trade estimates promptly and correctly.
  • Follow-up with commercial team to obtain approval for the submitted trade estimates.
  • Coordinate with Procurement team / other stakeholders and ensure that the required materials/tools/equipment/personnel are arranged promptly.
  • Ensure execution of awarded projects efficiently/productively and in compliance with the QHSE requirements/applicable procedures.
  • Ensure achievement of assigned targets pertaining to safety, quality, productivity etc.
