What is the primary role of the Social Worker in the Early Intervention program?
The primary role of the Social Worker is to provide mental health social work assessment, counselling, crisis management, and system navigation for youth and young adults experiencing mental health and addictions issues.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A Master's of Social Work Degree from an accredited University School of Social Work and a current certificate of registration with the College of Social Service and Social Work are mandatory qualifications.
Is experience working with youth a requirement for this role?
Yes, direct experience and capacity to work with youth, including TSLGBTQ and gender fluid issues, is considered an asset.
Will I be part of an interdisciplinary team?
Yes, the successful applicant will work as a member of the Early Intervention interdisciplinary team.
What type of clients will I be working with?
You will be serving youth and young adults aged 16-25 years who are experiencing, emerging, and/or persistent mental health and addictions issues.
