What is the duration of the Sonographer position at Mount Sinai Hospital?
This is a temporary full-time assignment that lasts up to twelve (12) months.
What types of ultrasounds will I be performing in this role?
You will perform obstetrical/gynecological, abdominal, vascular, small parts, and neonatal ultrasound imaging procedures.
What qualifications are mandatory for this Sonographer position?
Mandatory qualifications include the completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Ultrasound program or a recognized equivalent, completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program, registration with Sonography Canada with CRGS designation, registration with the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO), one year of recent related experience, and maintenance of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
Is there any consideration for applicants currently enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound program?
Yes, consideration for hire may be given to applicants currently enrolled in an accredited degree/post diploma Ultrasound program, provided they successfully complete the program within six (6) months of hire.
What are the preferred qualifications for this position?
Preferred qualifications include being registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB) and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB), as well as having experience in modalities such as vascular, neurosonography, and fetal assessment.
