What is the working schedule for the Special Needs Support Worker position?
The working schedule is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, term time only.
Are the days and hours flexible?
No, the days and hours are non-negotiable.
What is the pay range for this role?
The pay ranges from £80 to £100 a day.
What age group will I be working with?
You will be working with young adults aged 9 to 19.
What types of special educational needs will I encounter?
You will encounter various SEN, including Highly Sexualised behaviours, SEMH, Attachment Disorder, Autism, ADHD, Aggression, and individuals from Broken homes.
Is prior experience necessary for this role?
While experience working with young people in a support setting is desired, it is not strictly necessary.
What types of behaviors should I expect to manage?
You should expect to manage challenging behaviours and support the child academically, emotionally, and socially.
What qualifications or training is preferred for candidates?
Ideally, candidates should have training in Team Teach, Mappa, Nappi, or Pillars, though this is desired but not necessary.
Is a background check required?
Yes, a clear Enhanced DBS registered to the update service is required, and we can provide assistance to start a new application if needed.
