What are the main responsibilities of the Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology?
The main responsibilities include validating analytical data, standardizing and maintaining complex analytical equipment, reviewing quality control data trends, writing and reviewing standard operating procedures, training staff, and participating in service development and modernization.

The position is full-time and includes participation in out-of-hours working arrangements.
What qualifications are required for this role?
Candidates should be registered Biomedical Scientists with experience and suitable qualifications in Microbiology. Consideration will also be given to those working towards their Specialist portfolio.

How much of the role involves working independently?
Approximately 25-35% of contracted hours will be spent working independently, following broad operational policies and procedures.
