  • 3. A candidate may be considered equivalent when they are registered and a member in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers or has a letter from the College confirming that their application for registration has been approved.
  • 4. NOTE: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a comprehensive report and the MCFD supplemental report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
  • 5. At least 2 years of job-specific work experience. Experience supervising staff.
  • 6. Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field OR Bachelor’s Degree with a Major/Honors in a Human Services field OR Master’s level graduate Certificate/Diploma in a Human Services field AFTER the completion of an unrelated Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 7. NOTE: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
  • 8. Minimum 1 year of related work experience and at least 2 years of job-specific work experience, OR At least 3 years of job-specific work experience. Experience supervising staff.
  • 9. Human Services fields include: Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Early Childhood Education, Indigenous Studies, Education, Theology or Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • The Team Leader, Integrated Services plays a vital role in collaborating with the North Okanagan Friendship Center, Okanagan Indian Band (OKIB), and many other community based organizations to support the implementation of child protection and support services in the North Okanagan.
  • In this role you will supervise and guide a committed team using a strength-based, collaborative approach in mentorship and consultation as well as in supporting the team in providing culturally safe and culturally appropriate services to our Indigenous children, youth and families.
