Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 6+ years related work experience
  • Knowledge of supplier management.
  • Experience with MRP
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-look-ups, formulas, etc.)
  • Willing to have regular calls with Far East suppliers during evening hours
  • Handling a large amount of work efficiently and effectively and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative in dealing with a variety of duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to meet business needs
  • Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and highly regulated industry
  • Experience with electronic industry
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the end to end planning to ensure product availability
  • Create, evaluate and monitor supply plans while maintaining inventory levels for all components & finished goods to meet both Customer and internal needs.
  • Ensure that all material has arrived on specific deadlines and into stock by manage relationships and negotiating needs with internal plants, Third Party Manufacturers and suppliers globally to ensure build plan execution.
  • Create purchase orders to support the supply plan while resolving order discrepancies such as non-conformance, shortages, or price discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Review purchase order acknowledgements regularly for compliance to price, delivery and other terms and conditions. Ensure purchase transactions are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Lead schedule adherence calls with TPMs at Far East to ensure supply continuity
  • Work with Commercial, Finance and Demand Planning for demand alignment to actuals and to address supply or demand variation.
  • Establish and maintain purchasing and supply master data item master attributes for all material and maintain within the MRP system for effective planning and purchasing
  • Lead processes within monthly S&OP to ensure capacity and escalation of supply issues as needed with TPM suppliers
  • Ensure that procedures referencing material planning and procurement are developed and or updated accordingly to ensure compliance,
  • Compile price data from various suppliers and assist in preparing formal purchase documents.
  • Act a subject matter expert for purchasing and provide guidance for all activities including audits, and quality and supply chain requirements.
