Responsibilities

  • Develops the long-term vision of a product portfolio or strategic capability that drives strategies, requirements and roadmaps; understands the competitive landscape and directly influences the enterprise in how it makes portfolio-specific decisions; owns the different product roadmaps that make up the product portfolio and influences investment choices that yield long-term customer benefits in support of the vision.
  • Develops a culture of innovation and experimentation and encourages initiatives that address customer needs.
  • Owns annual planning for the product portfolio and represents strategy in discussions with leadership and executive stakeholders. Plans and advocates for required workforce resources.
  • Develops and manages the long-term (three- to five-year) view of the product portfolio or strategic capability, making trade-off decisions on multiple products and product groups. Determines release goals, prioritization, implementation, and iteration of products within product portfolio or strategic capability. Defines key processes for team to effectively track development work.
  • Leverages enterprise-wide resources to drive improved synergies and efficiencies within the product portfolio or strategic capability. Engages with internal and external thought leaders to drive product leadership within portfolio.
  • Leads and owns requirements documents for all products within the product portfolio or strategic capability.
  • Owns the user experience and sets the direction for the design of the user experience of products within product portfolio or strategic capability. Ensures customer and business goals remain aligned with identified customer needs. Sets the strategy for customer engagement and leads its execution.
  • Partners with relevant stakeholders and leads and owns the development of launch and go-to-market plans of products within product portfolio or strategic capability.
  • Identifies issues that may delay the launch or impede the success of products in product portfolio or strategic capability, communicates to leadership, assesses alternatives to resolve, and takes action to resolve.
  • Owns and develops mechanisms to ensure post-launch learnings are captured into best practices frameworks or templates and evangelized and utilized in future product launches across the enterprise.
  • Leverages data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of products and related P&L impacts, and deliver recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Works with cross-functional product management teams to drive work across other product teams and helps move and prioritize work into other product backlogs.
  • Leads a team in support of achieving the company’s mission. Manages performance and fosters an inclusive environment to help associates achieve their potential.
