  • 3-4 years’ experience in a financial or accounting environment with demonstrated attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).and the ability to deal professionally with all levels of management
  • Keen attention to detail and proven problem solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prepare end-to-end process with donations, deposits and tax receipts for processing
  • Maintain invoices received, ensure accuracy of vendor data and file accordingly
  • Data entry of all pledges for events and ensure proper coding and GL allocation
  • Manage donor and grant database and liase with IT support as required
  • Invoice vendors for pledges and follow up to ensure payment received
  • Responsible for accounts payable, invoicing, issuing cheques as applicable
  • Interpret and analyze data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and financial trends
  • Assist in the data collection, consolidation and reconciliation for budgeting purposes
  • Develop financial reports to assist in preparation of forecasts, budgets and events.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence for the department and engage stakeholders as required including granting, fundraising, and finance.
  • Special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required
