What is the work environment like in the Acute Medical Unit?
The Acute Medical Unit is a fast-paced environment consisting of 31 beds, including 14 higher monitoring beds, where high standards of acute medical care are delivered.
Is there any training provided for new staff nurses?
Yes, successful candidates will receive a full, supported induction from the Practice Development Nurse (PDN) and have the opportunity for funded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) study if required.
What type of patient care can I expect to provide?
Staff nurses are expected to provide bedside nursing and plan the care required for their allocated patients, taking a holistic approach to patient care while being supported by a senior staff nurse.
