Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • General knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulations impacting each engagement or project and reporting of financial data.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.
  • Less than one year of experience in public accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, compile, analyze, and distribute accurate and timely information to prepare and file documents related to telephony regulatory matters and compliance functions.
  • Assist with preparation and filing of revisions to regulatory documents.
  • Prepare correspondence and responsive materials to third parties and regulatory authorities.
  • Test basic tax mapping scenarios within the CLA tax lab and/or client’s tax engines to ensure appropriate and expected tax results.
  • Support testing and implementing systems and/or process changes to add increased efficiencies or conformance with tax rules
  • Review jurisdiction laws pertaining to exemptions and validate forms provided by client’s customers to ensure good faith standards are met to indemnify client from tax liability
  • Contribute to the development of requirements for new and existing client projects.
  • Understand and work to resolve general customer issues.
  • Participate in other operational and strategic projects or duties as assigned.
