Responsibilities

  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Actively participate in HSE training programs.
  • Adhere to standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on material planning master data (e.g., lead time, order quantities) and take actions to support the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to disposition non-conforming materials promptly.
  • Initiate purchase and work orders to align with the demand plan.
  • Participate in allocation calls with Sourcing Managers, suppliers, and other Cummins entities to address constraints.
  • Work with suppliers to reduce lead times and order quantities while balancing supply with demand.
  • Reposition excess inventory across locations to meet demand effectively.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on inventory availability and backorder recovery plans.
  • Manage part changes, ramp-ups, and ramp-downs to meet demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Reconcile order boards for critical suppliers, parts, and past-due orders routinely.
  • Support supplier improvement initiatives and document action items impacting plan execution.
  • Take ownership of supplier schedules to meet end-customer needs.
  • Communicate effectively within the team and with all support teams.
  • Complete required training and personal development goals.
  • Participate in improvement projects focused on quality, safety, process efficiency, and material flow.
