Responsibilities

  • As a Systems Tendering Specialist for INOPC PG you will be responsible for
  • Analyze customer needs and Prepare Bill of Materials, deviation list and detailed product configurations.
  • Deliver accurate cost estimations as per tender scope of work.
  • In coordination with the team manager, elaborate bid prices and offering strategy.
  • Participate in the Risk Review process as needed in accordance with Company policy.
  • Verify the commercial and legal interests of the offer with Front end Sales and “Commercial & legal advisor”.
  • Promote process feedback to the organization.
  • Promote a positive customer experience by submitting quality deliverables on time.
  • Ownership of complete techno commercial bid GES:
  • Analyzes customer specifications in order to have a clear picture of its requests and to prepare a reliable technical solution for the bid.
  • Ensures the optimization of the bid design in terms of cost and customer requests, in accordance with Hitachi technical standards.
  • Using commercially available tools, simulate energy flows in the Microgrid to define required system sizing. Make use of Hitachi internal tools to dimension stabilization solutions.
  • Develops a bid design containing as much as possible technical solutions already developed in previous orders in order to reduce engineering time and risk.
  • Perform homer simulations to arrive at optimal equipment sizing and configuration.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the conceptual design of the bid including technical lay-out, preliminary Bill of Quantities (BoQ), relevant equipment descriptions and MicroGrid system technical bid description and definition in collaboration with the other ABB unit bid responsible.
  • Prepare concept proposal on possible MG business cases and presentation to customer, if required.
  • Understand customer needs and work with the MicroGrid INOPC Engineering and the LPG bid responsible to determine the most ideal customer solution.
  • Initiate Technical Tender meetings with the INOPC Engineering.
  • Takes lead in solving any bid design issue with the INOPC engineering team, the microgrids R&D team and the LPG Sales team.
  • Formulate new functionality requests to R&D when necessary.
  • Preparation of the DOW in collaboration with the LPG bid responsible.
  • Ensure the bids are professional, targeted, concise and successful with the aim of driving continuous improvements.
  • Responsible for timely completion of technical bid with correctness and quality of engineering deliverables of the project.
  • Adhere to the Hitachi tendering process, templates and instructions.
  • Foster pro-activeness, creativeness and sense of urgency among colleagues.
  • Estimate and mitigate risks during the tendering.
  • Preparation of Risk Review meetings when applicable.
  • Establish an adequate sales repeatable process in his/her field of responsibility to ensure improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and peers to establish best practices in the bid process.
  • Establish, maintain and develop internal commercial and technical relations with the factories and their representatives, locally and internationally.
  • Coordinate with key technological partners to provide unified and compliant design to end customer.
