What is the primary purpose of the Teacher - Interior Design Area position?
The primary purpose is to be part of Istituto Marangoni Dubai's teachers’ education team, teaching subjects for the MA program in the field of Interior Design.
What subjects will I be teaching as part of this role?
You will be teaching subjects related to Interior Design and Architecture, Lighting Design, Visual Communication, History of Interior Design, Interior Design Research, Digital Tools for Design, Portfolio Layout, Building Materials and Technology, and Furniture Design.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A PhD in one or more relevant areas of expertise, a minimum of 3 years teaching experience at an international institution, education qualification equivalency from the UAE Ministry of Education, and relevant experience creating educational materials and extracurricular activities.
Is prior experience in the UAE necessary for this job?
While not mandatory, UAE residency is preferred.
How will student support be provided in this role?
Student support will involve developing their learning progress, monitoring their experience, providing timely guidance, and assessing their progress through formative and summative assessments.
Are there any administrative duties associated with this role?
Yes, you will perform course management and administrative duties in support of learning and teaching and individual scholarly development.
How will I engage with the industry in this position?
You will initiate and foster engagement with relevant industries, organizations, and professional bodies to develop opportunities for the School in the field of Interior Design.
What are the communication skills required for this role?
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong critical-thinking skills are required.
