  • Have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs, or a willingness to learn
  • Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant in a special needs school
  • Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
  • To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should:
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education

Responsibilities

  • - Your role will be to work in either one school on a longer term/permanent basis, or you can work on a flexible 0-hour contract where you work as and when you choose to and you may work in various school.
  • - As a Teaching Assistant you will be working within the class to support the class teacher with their lessons.
  • - You will be working alongside a team of support staff in class.
  • - You will be working on a 1-1 basis with SEN students.
