What is the main role of a Technical Designer at Gensler?
As a Technical Designer, you will collaborate with the design team to develop innovative design solutions throughout all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
What qualifications are required for this position?
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent, along with 1-3 years of related architectural project experience.
What software skills are necessary for this role?
Proficiency in physical modeling and digital modeling using Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, and Revit, as well as expert use of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), is required.
Is experience with sustainable building practices important for this role?
Yes, a demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices is required, particularly with projects certified under LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwell, and/or Net Zero Building certification.
