Responsibilities

  • You will spend a proportion of your time on strategic improvements within the team, as you will be part of an exciting transformation of the Environment Management Team’s future as we navigate our way into hybrid Cloud models and DevOps ways of working.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of Non-Production Test Environment usage & requirements for projects and programmes of work, including:
  • Analysis of new demand and identifying timeline, usage costs, point of contact, requirements & recommended route to Production.
  • Support users in booking the appropriate Environments & review booking requests for accuracy & alignment.
  • Governing the adherence to our processes.
  • Collaboration with project/programme teams, as Environment point of contact.
  • Escalation support for Non-Prod Incidents and Requests
  • Understand ways of working & promote Environment governance including in low-adherence areas.
  • Supporting strategic improvements including:
  • Be part of a lively programme of work to align the Environment Management Team with future ways of working, including a decommissioning project, a move to a new booking tool, creation of the Configuration Management Database, redefining and detailing our purpose, policy, and processes, raising the profile of the team and improving the core skills of the team.
  • Understanding and detailing integration/middleware methods - driving the work of those involved in the support of environments for integration and ensuring that information and knowledge are detailed.
  • Facilitate and maintain an inventory of environment components and landscape, to feed into our new Configuration Management Database, including branching into technical details.
  • Produce and maintain environment architecture change schedule, including but not limited to minor/major changes, OS, security, and network changes.
