  • As a Trainee PM your key Technical responsibilities will centre around becoming more aware of and growing your involvement in the core processes of setting up and running projects. These will include:
  • Supporting the PM in the setting up of new projects, contract administration and quality assurance.
  • Organising, coordinating and recording meetings with key project stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Preparing project control documents such as project programmes, invoicing profiles, change control, project directories and scopes of services.
  • Compiling fee proposals from our technical divisions and sub-consultants.
  • Collating project information on behalf of the project team.
  • Encouraging and promoting collaborative working behaviours to maintain efficient and effective delivery relationships between full project team.
  • Support the PM in managing, monitoring and reporting on project progress.
  • Assist the PM in identifying, recording and managing project risk.
  • Attending site visits with the PM or others to understand site constraints.
  • Be a Strategic Projects ambassador for technical excellence in project management.
  • The next focus of responsibility will centre on Business Development. In Strategic Projects this is supporting the delivery of tenders and bids, developing work opportunities, and building internal and external relationships. As a trainee PM, the key responsibilities begin with your focus on the following:
  • Supporting others in the preparation of bid ‘Go/No-Go’ opportunity appraisals
  • Supporting the request for fee proposals from our technical divisions and sub-consultants
  • Supporting others in the preparation of multi-disciplinary bids and tender responses
  • Supporting a positive profile of Strategic Projects and the wider Hydrock brand
