What is the primary purpose of the Training Manager/Sr Training Manager role?
The primary purpose is to impart training to Frontline Sales (FLS) and Unit Sales Managers (USMs) to enhance their job knowledge and develop their skills through various training interventions.
What types of training programs will I be conducting?
You will conduct a variety of training programs, including induction training and skills workshops focused on recruitment and sales techniques, tailored to meet the diverse needs of distributors.
How many trainees can I expect to train at one time?
You can expect to train approximately 40 to 50 USMs at a time based on the geographical distribution and available training infrastructure.
What challenges might I face in this role?
Key challenges include engaging trainees who are not on the payroll, managing the large span of trainees (1:6), ensuring frequent training, and dealing with insufficient training resources.
What support will I receive from the organization?
You will receive support through insights on competitive products, engagement with distributors to identify gaps, and ongoing updates in the Sales Training Management System (STMS) for record-keeping.
What is expected in terms of self-development?
You are expected to focus on self-development by participating in e-learning courses, initiating professional courses related to your role, and completing them in a timely manner.
What kind of relationships will I be expected to maintain in this role?
You will maintain regular internal relationships with the sales team for daily updates and training activities, as well as external relationships with channel partners and consultant trainers to upgrade their knowledge and skills.
Who will I report to in this role?
You will report to the Regional Training Manager, who in turn reports to the Chief Manager – TPD Training.
What action is expected regarding product launches?
You are expected to ensure speed and accuracy in product launches, fostering enthusiasm and understanding around new products among the training participants.
How frequently will I need to update records in STMS?
You are required to ensure timely updates in the STMS to maintain accurate record-keeping regarding training interventions and attendance.
