Responsibilities

  • Owner of the contractual delivery of the Third-party logistics (3PL) and outsourced service providers (4PL) service in Southern Europe
  • Governance of the relationship ensuring that the contractual obligations of both parties are met and devising local market strategies for tendering and service improvement
  • Continually monitoring service levels enacting strategies to address service failings on a corrective action, preventive action basis, whilst leading on problem solving through lean methodologies
  • Develop a technology and service improvement roadmap over the life of the contract with the 4PL
  • Build strong internal stakeholder networks within the supply chain, as well as Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), deployment and mills, building transport forecasting models and tracking accuracy to forecast, ensuring that transport is integrated into their thinking
  • Control and report on the extra service requests, higher rate authorization and additional costs within transport, leading on the headwind reduction as part of fuel to grow
  • Lead on cost transformation projects within transport and assist in sharing best practice across the wider European team
  • Work with the 4PL provider to realize added value for Kimberly-Clark, establishing market leading collaboration that brings benefits to both
  • Provide contractual input to build win-win scenarios when onboarding new suppliers, being actively involved in ensuring that Kimberly-Clark requirements are fully understood and realized
