Responsibilities

  • Develop & delivery of design management strategies which will include the design review and progressive design assurance processes;
  • Develop technical drawings and specifications for Design and Build Contractors and Build only Contractors using the TII specification for road works, public works contract forms or other forms including NEC and FIDIC;
  • Ensure designs and contract documents are in accordance with programmes, safety, quality, and cost objectives and the implementation and oversight of a robust quality management system throughout the design development process;
  • Ensure the works elements of designs are designed and phased in a manner which minimises operational disruption and that they are constructable and cost efficient; and designs consider interfaces with systems of relevant third parties.
