Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • EIT required
  • Experience working with State and local transportation projects is a Plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Communicate effectively with those contacted in performing duties.
  • Learn and apply established principles and practices of civil engineering.
  • Learn to read and understand roadway design plans
  • Learn to read and apply agency design criteria to plan production
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties and to work as a team.
  • Design and preparation of documents for:
  • Minor and major roadway
  • Sidewalks
  • Shoulder improvements
  • Drainage design projects
  • Duties include assisting a project manager with tasks associated with:
  • Plan preparation
  • Cost estimates
  • Report writing
  • Client coordination
  • Permitting
  • Software design experience should include:
  • Working with Microstation and Autocad
  • Civil 3D
  • MS Word and Excel
