Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Use knowledge of the general concepts of civil, transportation, and traffic engineering
  • Assist in the development and design of traffic engineering projects
  • Assist in preparing project plans and drawings for various highway and roadway traffic projects
  • Conduct project related field visits, traffic capacity and operation analyses, traffic impact analyses, signal warrant, safety evaluations, and other related traffic engineering work
  • Perform traffic signal designs, signal timing, ITS planning and design, signing and pavement marking, illumination, roadway, sidewalk, and ADA ramp planning and design, and other related traffic/transportation engineering work
  • Assist in the preparation of plans and reports for relevant project design elements under the guidance and supervision of a licensed professional engineer.
  • Responsible for preparing and coordinating technical activities on assigned projects
  • Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials
