  • Unit "PCU- Cardiac # Beds "12-16 Beds
  • This is a new unit that they opening to help funnel more high acuity PCU level patients to.
  • This unit will work closely with the other Tele units around them for support from nursing staff.
  • Ratios 1:4 for days and nights
  • For Common Spirit- Non Critical Care ratios are typically 1:5; this is a little bit of a unique unit as they are lowering the ratio due to the expectation of taking cardiac gtts as necessary.
  • Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients
  • Post Surgicals with a Cardiac Focus; Post 24 CABG, CB Surgery post CCU, IMCU overflow, High acuity Resp, Post Cath, Post Pacemaker, and some overflow
