Responsibilities

  • Responsible for researching, designing, innovating and prototyping new digital user experience and user interface concepts and standards
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of designers, UI/UX experts, feature owners, project teams, and developers located in Germany, Japan, India, and United States
  • Reduce driver distraction by applying and developing standards
  • Design and conduct user research using methods such as field studies, design sessions, site visits, benchmark studies, usability studies, and heuristic evaluations based on current products and future concepts
  • Synthesize findings to get a better understanding of end users, give insight into business value, and identify potential usability issues and design opportunities
  • Represent the Digital User Experience Team in Design Reviews to present and review concepts and initial ideas with business unit and project management
  • Apply design thinking and user-centered design principles
  • Coach and mentor team members and colleagues on all aspects of design – from methodologies to execution
