What are the main responsibilities of the Band 7 Sonographer?
The primary responsibilities include independently scanning and reporting examinations in obstetrics, gynaecology, and general abdominal ultrasound, along with performing paediatric, vascular, and MSK ultrasound as per experience and training.
Where will I be working primarily?
The successful candidate will primarily work at the Chelsea and Westminster site but may also cover the West Middlesex Hospital site as needed.
What qualifications are required for this position?
The candidate must have minimum scanning requirements in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and General Abdominal ultrasound, including independent reporting and adherence to guidelines and protocols.
Are small parts, MSK, vascular, or paediatrics ultrasound skills mandatory?
While skills in small parts, MSK, vascular, and paediatrics (including GRAF hips) ultrasound are desirable, they are not mandatory for the role.

You will develop close working relationships with all members of staff within the department, as well as consultants, senior nursing, and administrative staff.
