  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably with business or finance related focus, or equivalent years of experience;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in buyer underwriting/ credit risk / financial analysis, preferably with managerial background;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Understanding of commercial dynamics and customer focus;
  • Proactive and confident to take the lead;
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken English;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications;
  • Ability to travel domestic and abroad;

Responsibilities

  • Managing, guiding and coaching the Buyer Underwriting Team of international members;
  • Setting (and, if necessary, adjusting) country and sector underwriting strategies, and monitoring global and local trends and developments that can impact country, industry or buyer risks;
  • Coordinating the daily workload, risk management and customer service activities of the team with proactive and structured manner;
  • Regular coordination of developments regarding customers and prospects with counterparts at the Business Units. Visiting customers and buyers together with account managers and underwriters;
  • Developing and rolling out initiatives for efficiencies and automation in collaboration with central units;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the Underwriting Operational Plan;
  • Coordination of activities, tasks and targets with managers from other functions such as Sales, Account Management, Special Risk Management and Key Account Underwriting;
