Responsibilities

  • Lead property strategies that align with The Salvation Army’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Support the GM Property SD&D & the Missional Teams to engage with & document the Property interface & required actions with all Missional expressions of TSA.
  • Participate in workshops and/or other similar forums with Divisions, Corps & Mission Services/Enterprises to progress and document Property’s support requirements.
  • Ensure the State Missional Objectives align with the current approved Property Principles.
  • Provide input into a National Property Strategic Framework (NPSF) in line with documented Missional objectives including risk analysis and any mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement innovative property and financial solutions to progress Missional outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Mission Streams to source and procure external funding for property objectives.
  • Report monthly on the status of the state relating to all activities.
  • Develop and provide input into Policies, Procedures and Systems as required.
  • Review, support and provide input into Business Cases & Approval Processes relating to all projects.
  • Actively participate and contribute as a member of SD&D’s Senior Leadership Team (SD&DSLT).
  • Effectively Manage Project Budgets (OPEX or CAPEX) and assist with the Capital Plans and other financial modelling.
  • Work in unison with the GM Property Strategy, Development & Delivery, the Missional Teams to provide input into the functions of the overall SD&D team.
  • Engage broadly with all Mission expressions and assist in the preparation and maintenance of the NPSF.
  • Utilise and ensure National Property Strategy Framework (NPSF) and in particular your regional response is communicated to your State Based Teams.
  • Devise & implement innovative concepts to achieve the optimum missional & commercial outcomes for TSA.
  • Ensure that all existing and planned Development and Delivery project outcomes are in alignment with the NPSF, your approved regional strategy, TSA Property Policies, Procedures and Principles and the strategic objectives of TSA.
  • Lead the state team by contributing commercial, risk analysis & financial guidance in developing innovative & effective ways to optimise the use of the capital assets in order to fulfil TSA’s Mission & Values.
  • Manage and report on all functions across your state Property portfolio including CAPEX, OPEX, Risk, Governance, Program, etc.
  • Provide guidance to your direct reports in the application of the NPSF as it aligns with your state objectives.
